According to the official website of Esteghlal Club, Ebrahim Taghiloo, the acting supervisor and captain of the Esteghlal Zanjan wheelchair basketball team, who holds national and world titles in this sport, condemned the aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against our country, Iran, stating: "As the son of martyred Pasdar Kazem Taghiloo, I condemn the brutal actions of America and Israel against my beloved homeland Iran, as well as against sports facilities that are symbols of peace in the world. In the current situation, decisive support and solidarity with the country's armed forces, who defend the homeland with sacrifice and authority, must be prioritized in all policies and programs; especially for the sports community, which has always been at the forefront at critical junctures."
He continued by referring to the team's performance last season: "Last season, in our first appearance in the National League, we succeeded in winning the runner-up title and earned a spot in the Premier League. God willing, in the upcoming season, by recruiting the stars of the country's wheelchair basketball, we are seeking to make history and will try to win the championship for the great Esteghlal Club in our first season in the Premier League."
